How we can support you
Whether you just need someone to talk to, guidance on finding your way around or accessing services, how to work with professionals, learning more about mental illness, support available for carers or dealing with other problems, we are here for you.
Our frontline team of peer Carer Advocates work under the ANNI code of practice as approved by HSCB. They are empathetic individuals and experienced carers, employed to assist you in the following ways:
- Offering you a listening ear and enabling you to talk in confidence about your concerns and any issues that arise for them
- Providing you with information about services and support groups that will help you with your needs and concerns
- Assisting you in identifying programmes that can empower you and help you deal with your situation
- Supporting you in your relationship with the cared for person
- Encouraging your involvement with professionals in treatment and care plans
- Informing you of your rights
The range of services delivered by our Carer Advocates can offer you help and support, and empower you as a relative, a partner, a friend or even a colleague to cope effectively in your loved one’s recovery include:
